Celebrating the evolution of Glenturret’s barley, spirit and cask flavours. Peat plays an important role in our distilling history - records show The Glenturret dug peat from the moss of our water sources for whiskey production in the early 1800s.
Glenturret 10 Year Old Peated Smoked Whiskey celebrates the various sources of peat we now source for our smoked whiskies.
Smoke flavors evolve and change over time. Our peated spirit styles are matured in first and second fill European and American oak casks. The resulting whiskey forms a complex single malt with an alcohol content of up to 50%.
Tasting Notes
Sweet vanilla, fresh citrus fruits. Remains of campfire smoke, understated peat. Subtle sweetness and lemon sherbet. The dying embers are back, glowing softly and filled with smoke.
