Collection: Benrinnes

Benrinnes Distillery was established in 1826 and licensed in 1835. It is named after the local landmark, Ben Rinnes Mountain, the highest peak in eastern Speyside. The melting snow from the summit of Ben Rinnes flows down the slopes and converges into a river nearby, known for its excellent water quality. In 1829, the distillery was severely damaged by a flood. After rebuilding, it faced financial difficulties and ceased operations. However, the local community did not give up and rebuilt Benrinnes Distillery again. In 1922, it was acquired by John Dewar & Sons, and soon after became part of DCL. In 1930, it was transferred to Diageo, where it remains to this day.
