Magnolia berries, a.k.a. “five flavour fruit”, is a unique vine plant that packs all five primary flavours: sweetness, saltiness, tartness, bitterness and pungency, which in Chinese culture are an allegory for the vicissitudes of life.
They are also considered to represent the five elements of Nature that correspond with various organs and functions of the body.
Combining the distinct flavours of magnolia berries with the rich citrus aroma and mildly bitter aftertaste of aged tangerine peel, fruity sweetness of mulberries and the earthy and exotic scent of sandalwood, Magnolia Lab is a complex drink for the sophisticated palate.
