This malt is made using barley grown on The Macallan’s Speyside estate, distilled weekly and matured exclusively in sherry-flavored oak butts and hogsheads.
Warm, delightful aromas of cinnamon, dried fruit, sweet lemon and caramel fill the nose, with the palate initially revealing notes of warm spices, dried oak and fresh figs.
Aromas of orange and dried fruit develop slowly, along with delicate citrus and sweet toffee.
Macallan Estate is housed in a striking box inspired by Speyside's landscape. This unique box features a hand-cut slate inlay that reflects the sense of place within the whisky.
