The sixth and final edition of the Macallan Edition series. The sixth edition is inspired by the legendary Spey River and the natural wonders of Macallan Manor, where each barrel of Macallan wine is hand-selected before it matures. Provided by our professional whiskey manufacturer.

The Macallan whiskey maker Steven Bremner personally selected all five different barrel types used to create the sixth edition. He drew inspiration from unique stories related to the river and surrounding landscape. The oak barrels from the United States and Europe were chosen to create a flavor and bring a multi-faceted experience. From the fascinating rich natural brass color to the aroma, plus a deep and evocative flavor.

The legendary Spey River flows through the manor and is world-famous for its mighty Atlantic salmon. Macallan Ghillie is the custodian of the Spey River and advocates the maintenance of wildlife in and around Hanoi. On our three-quarter-mile river, lucky people can test their skills with Hardy’s unparalleled fishing tackle in the hope of catching and releasing wild Atlantic salmon.

Wild Atlantic salmon is in danger of becoming an endangered species. Therefore, McAllen has partnered with the Atlantic Salmon Trust to help raise awareness of this and support important conservation efforts in the Spey River and other areas.
