For the first time, Chinese-American artist Yan Peiming is experimenting with a whole new set of shades: a mix of amber, orange, terracotta and burgundy in Cognac that echoes the many eaux-de-vie and shades in Hennessy Cognac. The painter's signature rough and vigorous brushstrokes give people a sense of universality, compactness and boldness.
Hennessy X.O
In 1870, Maurice Hennessy (Maurice Hennessy), the fourth generation member of the Hennessy family, invited Emile Fillioux, a descendant of Yann Fillioux (Yann Fillioux), the chief blender of Hennessy, to make a wine for relatives and friends. A unique cognac crafted from eaux-de-vie aged for many years. They called this original wine "X.O", which means "Extra Old" (long aging), and a great legend was born. Hennessy X.O has achieved international renown and has made an outstanding contribution to the development of the X.O category, a model of excellence with unrivaled quality. Hennessy X.O benefits from 150 years of meticulous winemaking skills, just as the Hennessy X.O wine that Morris first shared with family and friends is still inspiring today. The powerful and well-balanced structure of Hennessy X.O brings a long aftertaste, and every drop seems to invite you to embark on a sensory journey of seven flavors.
"The Great Race" - Contemporary painter Yan Peiming
Known for his portraits of animals and celebrities, Yan Pei-Ming commemorates the Year of the Rabbit with a massive 6 x 3.5m painting, showing rabbits in the extended family and all the animals of the Chinese zodiac. The artist reveals: "This painting is very special. I wanted to show twelve animals because it was beautiful and generous to me, although it would be ten times easier to paint just one rabbit. The weight of the crowd is always so imposing ’” he continued, “It’s not for nothing that this painting is called The Great Race. More movement makes the whole picture more alive. Somehow, it just has a sense of mystery.”
The work "The Great Race" is a dynamic composition depicting the animals of the zodiac running in unison, evoking messages of freedom, tolerance and interconnectedness.
