Dalwhinnie 15 Year Old Single Malt Whisky
Alcohol concentration: 43%
The Dalwhinni Distillery is located high in the Grampian Mountains, close to the geographical heart of Scotland.
For hundreds of years, it has been a meeting point for livestock and market, mainly cattle drivers from the north, or business travelers from Kintail, Skye, Hebrides and other places to the major markets such as Criegg and Falkirk in the south.
At the time, there was already an illegal whisky distillery in Dalvini, serving wine to travelers who needed to stop and rest from time to time because of the long and arduous journey.
Despite the scorching heat and remote location, factors such as abundant pure water from Lohan and Dorwyn, abundant peat on the mountain at an altitude of 1,057 feet, abundant peat, and well-developed road and rail transportation prompted the Dalviny Distillery to open its doors in 1898.
