Glenmorangie A Tale of Tokyo Whisky Single Malt Whisky
Glenmorangie Tokyo Limited Edition Single Malt Whiskey
Alcohol concentration: 46%
Inspired by a trip to Japan, Dr. Bill Lumsden, Glenmorangie’s Director of Distilling and Whiskey Making, decided to create this beautiful single malt whiskey you’ve never seen before. Glenmorangie’s A Tale Of Tokyo is the fourth in the “Tale of” series and the first to be partially aged in Japanese Mizunara oak casks. It's actually a combination of whiskey aged in sherry and bourbon casks, as well as Glenmorangie aged in rare Japanese wood. The spirits are all bottled at 46% ABV and come with labels and packaging created in collaboration with renowned Japanese artist Akira Yamaguchi. It was their view of the contrasts of the city and its historical and cultural layers that inspired the design.
Aroma: Sandalwood, incense, dried cherries, vanilla, star anise and Glenmorangie's signature rich orange aroma.
Palate: The smooth mouthfeel reveals more citrus, with notes of marzipan, anise, dried fruit, white pepper, toffee apple and a hint of cinnamon.
Finish: citrus and toasted almonds.
