product description:
Glenrothes has returned to the Eddington Group in 2017, and chief winemaker Gordon Motion has combined the best of both worlds: the rich sherry cask resources in Glenrothes' own distillery, and the Eddington Group's most proud With the oak barrel policy, a new series of 100% sherry barrels has been specially created: "The Soleo Collection".
The word "Soleo" originated from the traditional process of sun-aging grapes for sherry in Spain. After the grapes are harvested by hand, the grapes are carefully placed on the ground to receive sunlight exposure. The colors also show different styles, from orange all the way to deep purple.
"The Soleo Collection" brings out the core essence of the new Gran Lusi. The four new products are all made of 100% sherry barrels. The bold color packaging and the year mark echo the sun aging time of sherry grapes.
The four new items are Glenroth 12 Years Old, Glenroose 18 Years Old, Glenrooth 25 Years Old, and the high-alcohol Whisky Maker's Cut. The first three items are made in 100% sherry barrels, while the fourth, Whisky Maker's Cut, is made in 100% virgin sherry barrels.
100% sherry barrels create new merchandise
When head winemaker Gordon Motion re-examined the Glenroth cellar, he was surprised to find that Glenroth had an astonishing stock of sherry casks. In the overall inventory, more than 90% of the sherry barrels are in stock, and among these stocks, more than 80% are first-time sherry barrels. Therefore, Gordon Motion spared no expense to create a new series of products from 100% sherry barrels for the wine lovers to drink.
After careful evaluation, the chief winemaker Gordon Motion decided to let the single-vintage series of Glenroos in the past go into history, and the unique character of each year is marked with the year, so that wine fans can clearly know the aging year.
The brand new product packaging of Glen Russ is inspired by "Soleo", which echoes the time when grapes ripen in the sun, ranging from bright orange to calm black. However, what has not changed is the bottle body of Glen Luth, which is very different from general whisky bottles. The concept of the bottle body of Glen Luth comes from the sampling bottle in the sample room, and the wine bottle is set in a see-through outer packaging. , like a work of art.
