This one sounds particularly good because Lagavulin from Islay has a good affinity with sherry, so anything that adds volume to the sherry is acceptable to us, especially if there's some extra char. The second maturation takes place in Pedro Ximenz’s air-dried, re-charred American oak barrels with heavily charred ends.
Aroma: Lots of peat mixed with the sweetness of dried fruit, raisins and some vanilla.
Palate: Coastal smoke with some salty toffee and sherry notes.
Finish: Oak spice lingers, peat lingers.
