Bin 8 is crafted in the traditional Penfolds style. Ripe, balanced fruit flavors complement soft oak, resulting in an impressive, velvety red wine.
Its release was in response to significant interest in Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon blends - a classic Australian wine style that has garnered international wine media attention.
While Bin numbers were originally named after their original Bin locations after bottling, Bin 8 was given its number
because it used old oak previously used for Bin 128, Bin 28, and Bin 389 - with "8" clearly providing the common thread.
Soft-textured tannins create a neat framework to hold the rich blackberry fruit with oak-derived vanilla bean. Barrel aging adds a creamy texture and mouthfeel.
