GlenAllachie 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky – 700ml

GlenAllachie 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky hails from the GlenAllachie Distillery in Speyside, Scotland. Since its establishment in 1967, the distillery has been known for its independent spirit and adherence to traditional distillation methods. After renowned distiller Billy Walker took over in 2017, GlenAllachie quickly became a focal point in the single malt market, and this 18-year-old expression is one of the most highly acclaimed representatives of its core range.

This whisky is matured in Pedro Ximénez (PX) and Oloroso Sherry casks, blended with a portion of American oak casks. It is bottled with Natural Colour and Non-Chill Filtered, presenting its most authentic flavour at 46% ABV.

On the nose, the 18-year-old displays sweet layers of vanilla, toffee, honey, and cinnamon, accompanied by rich notes of black cherry, raisin, and dark chocolate. On the palate, it is full-bodied and robust, with complex flavours of dried fruit, caramel, cocoa, and oak spices, balanced in sweetness and acidity, with smooth and structured tannins. The finish is long, extending the sweet and spicy notes of the sherry casks, delicate and intriguing.

The recommended serving temperature is around 18–20°C. Enjoying it neat or with a small amount of pure water best reveals its depth. Pairing it with dark chocolate, nuts, or mature cheese can highlight its unique richness and elegance from the sherry casks.

GlenAllachie 18 Year Old is not only a Speyside classic but also a distinguished choice for collectors and gifting.
