Aberlour Distillery was founded by James Fleming in 1879. Located in the heart of Speyside, it is the origin of premium Scottish whisky ingredient barley.
Aberlour uses tall and wide stills to produce a balanced, mellow, and multi-layered whisky. Its unique geographical environment, combined with the distillery's advanced technology, earned Aberlour Distillery the reputation of being the "most perfect modern distillery" as early as the 19th century.
Aberlour Village is situated at the foot of Benrinnes Mountain in Scotland, surrounded by charming scenery and clear flowing water. In 1862, James Gordon and Peter Weir built a distillery here and named it Aberlour after the local village. The water for the distillery comes from St. Drostan's Well, which has a history of over a thousand years and was used by local priests to baptize residents of the Scottish Highlands. Only the purest water can be holy water, and this natural sanctity guarantees the purity of Aberlour whisky's water source.

Each batch of A'Bunadh is carefully hand-bottled, making it the most unique original whisky, perfectly embodying the craftsmanship and handmade insistence sought by whisky connoisseurs. It uses the most traditional techniques and non-chill filtration to preserve the original character of the whisky.
