The Balvenie is the only Scotch whisky distillery that still grows its own barley and uses traditional malting floors.
Every year, we sow barley on our own 1,000-acre Balvenie farm. Our only concession in the 21st century is using a combine harvester to collect the grains when they are ripe. Other than that, the barley is grown in the same way it has been for centuries.

Balvenie 18 Year Old PX Cask, Pedro Ximénez Cask sherry is a familiar and beloved whisky flavor among Taiwanese. The "Balvenie 18 Year Old PX Sherry Cask" uses Pedro Ximénez sherry casks for finishing; Pedro Ximénez is a type of Spanish sherry cask, named after the white grape variety of the same name. Traditionally, the grapes are sun-dried to concentrate the sugar, resulting in a thick, silky sherry with sweet raisin flavors.

Nose: A mix of raisins and juicy currants, oak and a hint of clove, veiled by silky sweet lavender.
Palate: A modern classic fruit fusion of sour grape skin, citrus and fig, flowing with vibrant oak, coating the mouth with delicate oil and honey-like sweetness.
