The Macallan First Edition is the first in the Edition series. It celebrates The Macallan’s unparalleled oak barrel management policy, which oversees the entire process from wood procurement to finished, seasoned barrels.

Showcasing the influence of The Macallan's special oak casks in whiskey, the result is a bold single malt drawn from eight of the finest European and American oak cask styles and sizes.

The sherry is seasoned and aged to perfection before being combined to create this rich and varied whiskey, with the characteristics of each cask style present in the whiskey itself.

Color: natural honey

Aroma: Vibrant and intense aromas of orange, apple and dried fruits. Vanilla, toffee and chocolate complement the oak tones.

Palate: Opens up with warm woody spices, then adds nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger and toffee. Fruit comes later - fresh and balanced with fresh oak.

Finish: Soft and lingering.
