Hibiki Master Select

After Suntory announced the discontinuation of its Hibiki 12 Year Old, it introduced Hibiki Japanese Harmony, and then further added Master's Select.
This blend features at least 10 malt and grain whiskies, aged in 5 different types of casks. Under the supervision of the third-generation master blender and Shingo Torii, the founder's great-grandson, and nurtured by the fourth-generation chief blender Shinji Fukuyo, it harmoniously blends a noble and delicate Yamazaki Sherry Cask characteristic. It combines over 10 original whiskies from Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita distilleries, including the world-renowned Yamazaki Sherry Cask whisky.
Suntory's second-generation chief blender, Koichi Inatomi, was passionate about violas and symphonies. When he created "Hibiki," he recalled the melody of J. Brahms: Symphony No. 1 in C minor, Op. 68, which later shaped Hibiki's resonant style. Hibiki is a blended whisky. Compared to the unique personality of single malts, blended whiskies focus more on the collaboration of multiple original spirits. The Yamazaki distillery primarily produces richly aromatic spirits, the Hakushu distillery produces spirits with a refreshing taste and soft aroma, and the Chita distillery produces grain spirits that enhance the flavor of the original spirits and harmonize the overall blend. The original spirits used are not limited to one type from each distillery; sometimes, based on the blender's judgment, multiple types of original spirits may be carefully selected. This results in "Hibiki," a whisky with complex and delicate flavors, achieving ultimate harmony. The packaging features a decanter with 24 facets, symbolizing the 24 hours of a day and the changing seasons. The label uses Japanese washi paper and the calligraphic character "Hibiki" to complement each other, creating an overall Japanese-style packaging.
