Bottega was founded in 1977 by Aldo Bottega, a master winemaker with more than 30 years of experience in the industry, who inherited the passion for the world of wine from his grandfather, a skilled wine merchant of the 1920s. In the late 1970s, the company was a small operation operating in the local grappa market. Over the years it has been transformed into one of the first 20 private distilleries and distilleries, becoming the second largest brand in the world in terms of sparkling wine after the well-known Champagne brand.
This Moscato rose sparkling wine was created in the early 1900s by Prof. Luigi Manzoni, Director of the Conegliano Wine Academy. A series of crossbreeding tests resulted in the creation of several hybrids, including this Incrocio Manzoni 13.0 .25, a code associated with a specific cataloging system used by the professor in his notes, which is a cross between Raboso Piave and Muscat of Hamburg.
The bright pink bottle is made with a unique metallization process on the glass surface and is entirely part of the Bottega sparkling wine range. The label depicts a rose in full bloom, evoking the aroma of wine. The alcohol content is only 7% vol., which makes it particularly popular among young people and women.
